BA, MA, MFA, is Editor-in-Chief of Publishing Perspectives. Anderson is a veteran newsman with CNN, CNN.com, and CNN International–as well as the Village Voice, the Dallas Times Herald, The Bookseller and others. He was named London Book Fair’s International Trade Press Journalist in the 2019 International Excellence Awards. Anderson has also worked as a diplomat with the United Nations, and served as Executive Media Producer of INDEX: Design to Improve life, the Danish award for humanitarian design. Anderson is a frequent speaker on the international publishing stage in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and the Middle East.

Videl Bar-Kar, Global Head of Audio, Bookwire, Germany/UK
Videl Bar-Kar has over 20 years media industry experience in both corporate and start up environments. He has worked in publishing for over a decade, first as Director of the Ways With Words literary festival, then as the first Audio Publisher for Penguin Random House. He is a member of the Cheltenham Literature Festival advisory board and co-founder of Minotaur Productions, as Global Head of Audio for Bookwire, Videl leads the international expansion of the company’s rapidly growing audio business, from production through distribution of audiobooks and the development of flexible, end-to-end solutions for publishers across all markets.

Moti Lippman, CEO, ICast /Storytel, Israel
Moti Lippmann founded iCast in 2006 as the first podcast platform in Israel. In 2011 he was the first again to launch iCast’s audiobooks service in Israel, offering thousands of narrated titles via its app and website. In 2020, iCast was acquired by Storytel, one of the world’s leading streaming services for audiobooks & ebooks, and since then Moti has been serving as Country Manager Israel. Moti is a B.A graduate in Philosophy and East Asian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Sophia MacAskill is an Associate Agent and Joint Head of Original Audio & Podcasts at Curtis Brown in the UK. As well as overseeing audio rights for the book department’s diverse list of authors, she is also responsible for identifying original audio opportunities in the UK and beyond for the agency’s wider talent roster, from writers through to presenters and actors.
